ODISSEIA

It was in 2004 that the first ODISSEIA red wines were produced. But Jean-Hugues Gros was already working in the Douro since 1999. After having completed the diploma of enology and several trainings in Burgundy in 1992, Jean-Hugues had the unique opportunity to spend 16 months in Porto at Sandeman. And so began the discovery of Port wines, the enchanting Douro region and also its red wines.

After a few more experiences in California and Champagne, the final return was in 1999 to work in a small Port wine company located near Tabuaço. Today, Jean-Hugues is producer and also consultant winemaker for several Quintas of the Douro.
